Fine Ore Bin Conveyor Head Chute Removal

CONWIK was engaged by Bluestone Mine Tasmania Joint Venture to remove the Fine Ore Bin (FOB) Feed Conveyor Head Chute from inside the Fine Ore Bin, facilitating an additional 150t of ore storage capacity. Our work involved the careful removal and modification of the existing infrastructure to enhance the storage capabilities of the facility.

In addition, CONWIK was tasked with the removal of an interconnecting dormant feeder conveyor between the two Fine Ore Bins (FOBs). This work involved a complete disassembly, including the removal of the structure and all mechanical components.

Works included but were not limited to:

  • Full modification & removal to Fine Ore Bin #1 Feed Conveyor Head Chute

  • Removal of Fine Ore Bin #2 Transfer Feeder - entire disassembly & disposal of materials/equipment
