Shaking Table Feedline Replacement

CONWIK’s delivery of a major in-plant pipework upgrade for a Tasmania-based tin mine, focused on improving the performance and reliability of shaking table feed lines. The existing pipework was aged, leaking, and inefficiently laid out, resulting in frequent blockages, unstable feed flows, and ongoing processing disruptions.

CONWIK designed and installed approximately 2.5 kilometres of DN50 PN10 HDPE pipework throughout the plant, replacing the outdated system with a streamlined and efficient layout. The new design increased pipeline velocities, significantly reducing sanding and blockage issues that had previously affected operations and feed consistency to the shaking tables.

The scope of works also included the replacement of old pipe trays and supports to suit the new pipework configuration, ensuring long-term durability and safe access for maintenance. The upgraded system has delivered more stable feed flows, improved plant efficiency, and reduced downtime, demonstrating CONWIK’s capability to design and execute effective in-plant process piping solutions in demanding mining environments.
